A Broken Song

Broken teardrops in the rain,
An angry wind howls in laughter,
Scratchy noises on a broken guitar,
Silence makes a deafening sound.

The timeless sorrows all set to heal,
Mighty games all played and lost,
Love, the forbidden word,
Kills all the things I hold dear.
Nameless are the enemies I loathe,
A cacophony of mindless friends,
Trust, distrust, mistrust and betrayal,
Love's labour lost, tis only but pain.

Raymonds ?

Thats the way the tears fall,
Thats the way hearts break,
Thats the way you play with me,
The way you make me weep.

Thats the way you come to me,
Thats the way you make me happy,
Thats the way I revel in you,
The way you go away.

Thats the way the world goes round,
Thats the way stars shine,
Thats the way I forget everything,
The way you make me feel.

It's them

They tell me that I haven't loved you enough,
They tell me that I don't hurt anymore,
They tell me I'm all right and don't look like it,
Like a storm has blown me away.

They tell me I don't need no sympathy,
Perhaps they really are right,
They tell me my emotions are dime a dozen,
That this happens every time with me.

They tell me that my fears are unfounded,
That I'm ready to fall in love again,
They tell me that I'm just trying to look unhappy,
When in my mind I'm all fit and fine.

They tell me you weren't worth it anyway,
They hurl abuses at you,
They tell me I shouldn't be defending you,
Ask me to stop daydreaming, they do.
They tell me its all very simple for me,
That I haven't been dragged deep enough,
They tell me that I am really lucky,
Surprised, that they can't see any tears.

Once more...

One last hope, let me keep,
To hold you close, once more,
One last smile on your lips,
Sing one last song for you.

One last time, let me feel,
One look at your dreamy eyes,
One kiss, one smile, one moment,
Of us holding hands.

One last poem, let me write,
One last farewell to you,
One last chance, let me have,
To say how much I love you.

One last chance, is what I ask,
One more night, let me dream,
One time, just one more time,
To love and lose, once more.
